University testing emergency speaker system March 10

On Wednesday, March 10, from approximately 2 to 3 p.m., the University will be testing a new emergency voice-to-text speaker system. The demonstration will take place near the Northeast Rec Field Complex, and individuals in the area may be able to hear the test message during this time.

Any message associated with this demonstration will have the word “test” included in it. For example, “This is a test, this is only a test.”

No other NinerAlert methods will be used.

In the event of an actual emergency, the test will be canceled and a NinerAlert will be sent.
