March Congratulations
Employee of the Year
The Division is proud to recognize 12 nominations for Employee of the Year, including one winner! Melissa Battle of Business Services is the recipient of the 2019 Employee of the Year for the category of Innovation. She will was recognized at the Dessert Shoppe Staff Recognition Reception on March 27. By category, here were all of the Divisional nominees:
- Devotion to Duty – Carrie Smith, Christopher Gonyar, Jeanine Bachtel, Jody Thompson, Katherine Humphries, Sandy Mullins, Sarah Smyre and Tracey Copeland
- Innovation – Lisa Lanier, Melissa Battle (winner) and Raymond Bart Davis
- Community/Public Service – Christopher Facente
Of the 32 University-wide nominees, the Division was well represented. Congratulations to the nominees and winner!
Retirements
- Gladys Baquero-Vasquez, building environmental technician located in the North Zone, is retiring with over 12 years of service on March 31, 2019.
- Edison Cobos, building environmental technician located in the Woodward Zone, is retiring on March 31, 2019 with over 10 years of service.
