Santoscoy named EHS associate director
Irene Santoscoy has been named the Office of Environmental Health and Safety’s new associate director.
Santoscoy is a safety professional with 20 plus years of experience and brings a broad range of experience in the areas of regulatory compliance, risk assessment and mitigation and administering environmental health and safety programs.
In her role with UNC Charlotte, Santoscoy is committed to ensuring compliance with OSHA and state regulatory requirements; mitigating risk throughout the University by developing and implementing safety programs and procedures and enhancing the overall safety culture of the campus.
A graduate of Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, Santoscoy completed a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences at Indiana University.
