Insurance Open Enrollment through Oct. 31

UNC Charlotte employees have until Monday, Oct. 31, to make selections for 2017 insurance coverage and other benefits during Open Enrollment.

There are several big changes to plan options for the upcoming year:

• Employees must take action to stay in the Enhanced 80/20 Plan or the Consumer Directed Health 85/15 Plan (CDHP). Otherwise, all enrolled members and their enrolled eligible dependents will be moved to the 70/30 plan.
• A tobacco attestation must be completed to receive employee coverage at no cost under the 70/30 plan.
• CVS Caremark will be the new pharmacy benefit manager for all health plan options. This does not mean prescriptions must be filled at CVS.
• There also are changes to NCFlex benefits, including vendors, rates and enrollment opportunities.

The Benefits Office will host on-campus workshops on Oct. 4, 13, 20 and 26 for employees who desire assistance completing the enrollment process.
